The Concert

Yes!!!!  in conjunction with the YCHY Expo we will be holding a Saturday Evening Concert brought to you by Conscious Music featuring artists including: Adi Burgess, Mitchell Steele, Kevin Kelly and Terry Oldfield. We will also have some fire twirlers to delight the crowd and more…

The You Can Heal Yourself Expo promises an amazing Saturday evening concert of live entertainment, and thanks to presenting sponsor ??? (would you like to sponsor the Saturday Evening concert? contact us immediately [email protected])

The Saturday night music performance will top the charts. The festival is delighted to announce that no less than 2 artists will release their albums at our festival including the amazing Adi Burgess whose Top 15 country Music Chart his “That’s What Love Will Getcha” will feature on the night!

Concert begins: 5.45pm and finishes around 9pm

Artists include:

Mitchell Steele – whose amazing vocals and storytelling artistry has to be heard to be believed

- Mitchell is based out of Queensland and has already had success in the music industry. As a singer song-writer his career seems certain as his music evolves and matures from pure country to singer/storyteller with his latest music reflecting the work of such luminaries as John Mayer.

At the age of 18, he was a top 24 Australian Idol contestant in 2008 beating out 38,000 other contestants into the live shows. In 2011, Mitchell was named a finalist in the coveted Toyota Star Maker competition. He is busy writing in view of recording early his debut EP which is due for release later this year.

BREAKING NEWS! Mitchell will be releasing his debut EP at our concert on the night!!!

 

Terry Oldfield – flautist, composer, incredible technician will take you on a journey of sound

- Terry Oldfield is a world acclaimed composer and much loved musician, known for his mastery of the Flute and with over 3 million record sales to date Terry continues to make a wonderful contribution to the world of music.

Terry’s music has supported films and documentaries for thirty years with companies such as Warner Brothers, BBC Wildlife, HTV and Central TV.

Terry’s latest Album “Journey Into Space” will be released officially during our Saturday evening concert.

 

Kevin Kelly Kevin Kelly Bodhran - his interactive Irish Drumming will get you up on your feet and dancing

- Kevin loves to invite the audience on stage to do some drumming of their own and these moments are such a treat as audience members learn to beat the Irish Drum. A native of county Derry, Ireland, Kevin Kelly is highly skilled in playing and teaching the bodhrán (Irish frame drum) made famous in the stage show Riverdance. With six albums under his belt, Kevin regularly performs throughout Australia and returns to Ireland twice a year. Kevin has his own band and is a veteran of many festivals. He also holds the Guinness Book of Records for organising the largest group of people to play the bodhrán at the same time (980 Human Achievement Section). He believes everyone has rhythm and he has a unique way of coaxing it out of people to give them confidence to play the Irish drum. Come and join the fun and learn some classic Celtic drum rhythms. No experience needed.

Adi Burgess - a country singer with incredible vocal range will have you singing along with her right to the end.

- Adi’s vocals have been described by some of the industries greatest as emotive, powerful and unique. Her recent performance on The Voice evoked a standing ovation from the audience with hugs from Seal and comments like ‘beautiful voice’, and from Delta Goodrum saying ‘you are doing what you are meant to be doing’ has given Adi more drive than ever to pursue a career in music.

Her new single “That’s What love Will Getcha” was written in Nashville and is now in the Top 30 Australian Country Music Charts.

All Expo Visitors tickets include the Saturday evening concert.

Those wishing to attend ONLY the concert will need to purchase their tickets at the door.
